The NDTV Group has declared its most profitable half yearly results in over a decade.

Despite the increased cost, the group made the same profit in the second quarter as in the previous year.

The group's consolidated profit for the first half of the financial year stood at ₹35.2 crore, an increase of 26 per cent over the previous year.

Television company's profit for the same period (1st half) stood at ₹20.7 crore as compared to ₹24 crore in the previous year, but operating profit, after adjusting for one contingencies, was higher than the previous year.

NDTV Convergence, the digital arm of the group, has delivered the best ever result, earning a profit of ₹20.7 crore.

Its revenue has increased by more than 30 percent as compared to the previous year.

In the second quarter of the financial year, many media companies have declared losses, but NDTV remained in profit in the second quarter as well.

The television company made a profit of ₹8.2 crore, and the group's profit stood at ₹12 crore, the same period last year.

NDTV Group has been in profit for 12 consecutive quarters.

Management is aware that advertising in the news industry is decreasing this year, and business plans are being designed and driven in a similar way to minimize any risks.
