Russian troops may try to use in Ukraine the methods of total bombing of Syrian cities, in particular, as was the case in Aleppo.

However, Ukraine will have something to answer for.

Oleksandr Musienko, head of the Center for Military Legal Research, told Channel 24 about this.

"

Surovikin can try to repeat "Aleppo",

but I don't think he can succeed. Because in order to do what was done in Syria, it is necessary that Ukraine does not have any means of hitting air targets. Ukraine now it is only increasing air defense equipment and we are promised more," the expert said.

He drew attention to the fact that only two

NASAMS

air defense systems , which have already been received by the Armed Forces, are a total of about 108 one-time volleys.

"There is IRIS-T, there will be other systems that we are counting on. Plus those that were in service before - the Buk, S-300, Strela, Wasp, and various MANPADS and anti-aircraft missiles that "Also, the Air Force, which shot down both missiles and planes with air-to-air systems and missiles," Musienko said.

So with such an increase in air defense in Ukraine,

the Russian army will not be able to succeed

in trying to repeat the events that happened in Aleppo.

The expert also noted that during the entire war in Syria, opposition groups that fought against Bashar Assad's regime only had Osa air defense systems twice.

These complexes were taken as trophies.

We will remind, as military expert Oleg Zhdanov explained, massive missile strikes are a favorite tactic of the commander of the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine, Serhiy Surovikin, which he also used in Aleppo.

However, according to Zhdanov, carpet bombing is impossible in Ukraine.

What happened in Aleppo

In 2016, the government forces of the Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, with the support of Russian aircraft, staged an assault on the city of Aleppo, where the rebels were.

It is known that the city was carpet bombed and simply razed to the ground.

More than 18,000 people became victims.

It should be noted that on November 7 it became known that the Russian Air Force bombed a camp of the Syrian opposition near Idlib, as a result of which at least nine civilians were killed.
