A 49-year-old man tried to bribe Stara Zagorje police officers.

Yesterday around 2:30 a.m. on main road 1-5 in the area of ​​the airport, a police team from the Stara Zagorsk First District Administration stopped a Volkswagen car for inspection.

During the inspection, the driver left a banknote with a denomination of BGN 50 in the police car.

The man was detained for up to 24 hours.

In the case, an expedited proceeding was initiated under Art.

304a of the Criminal Code.

Work on the case continues under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office-Stara Zagora.

If the man's guilt is proven, he can be punished with imprisonment for up to ten years and a fine of up to BGN 15,000.
