A lorry driver, a Turkish citizen, who drove after consuming alcohol and offered a bribe to a police officer, has been brought in as a defendant in pre-trial proceedings, the press center of the prosecutor's office announced.

A. A. (50 years old) offered a bribe of 250 euros to the examining junior auto inspector Daniel Georgiev in order to "cover up" the case of the fourth of November.

During the inspection of kilometer 97+200 from the highway "Maritsa" to Svilengrad, the foreign citizen was tested with a technical device "Alcotest Dreger", which recorded a concentration of 1.82 parts per thousand of alcohol in his blood.

a measure of non-abortion "Guarantee in money" was taken, as well as a measure of procedural coercion "Prohibition on leaving the borders of Bulgaria", except with the permission of the District Prosecutor's Office - Haskovo, added the state prosecution. 

This is the third case this year in which the particular law enforcement officer refused a bribe.
