In the Zaporizhia and Eastern directions, the mobilized Russians can increase the tension for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but we should not expect a large-scale offensive from them.

This opinion was expressed by Oleksandr Musienko

, head of the Center for Military Legal Research ,

on the TSN YouTube channel.

When asked whether the mobilization in Russia achieved its goals, the military expert answered:

"If we are talking about the goal of capturing all of Ukraine - the Institute for the Study of War says that this is one of the priority goals - then it is obvious that the mobilized did not create such a basis. If we are talking from the point of view of occupying most of Ukraine - not either. But if we are saying, can these mobilized people create problems for us in the eastern direction, in the Zaporizhia direction, where they are currently present or are regrouping, then they can."

Musienko reminded that General Mykhailo Zabrodsky recently wrote an article in which he warned about the threat of the invaders' offensive on Sumy and Zaporizhzhia and the attempt to encircle a large group of the Armed Forces.

"I don't really believe that the Russian mobilized will succeed. The Russian contract army - better armed and better prepared - did not succeed. It is unlikely that the less prepared and less morally capable mobilized military, who sometimes suffer losses of a battalion per day, will succeed." - he thinks.

The expert singled out the Eastern and Zaporozhye directions as potentially possible for escalation of hostilities.

However, in his opinion,

one should not expect "large-scale actions from the encirclement, offensive actions from several fronts" from the mobs

.

It will be recalled that analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) believe that the Russian command is trying to use the mobilized to resume the offensive on Donetsk region.

On November 4, Serhiy Cherevaty, spokesman for the Eastern Group of Forces of Ukraine, said that Russian forces are probably trying to capture Bakhmut and Soledar in the Donetsk region so that Russia can claim some success by announcing the so-called liberation of Donbas.

Earlier it became known that Putin is preparing for the second wave of mobilization.

The process takes place in secret and the Russian authorities do not recognize their defeat in the war against Ukraine.

According to military expert Oleg Zhdanov, the Russian president wants to gather a million mobilized men and expects a long war.
