At least 17 people were injured in a fireworks explosion during a Day of the Dead celebration in a Mexican town.

According to "ABC News", every year from October 31 to November 2 is the Day of the Dead. During this period, Mexicans will reunite with relatives and friends to pray for the deceased, and some areas will extend the celebration time.

The town of Huejutla on the Gulf Coast continued to hold the Day of the Dead celebrations on the 6th of this month, but an explosion occurred during the process, causing the celebration to shout.

It can be seen from the video exposed on Twitter that many people gathered around the fire to celebrate and dance at the event, but it didn’t take long for the fire to suddenly become bigger, followed by continuous explosions, scaring many people present. Instant chaos.

"ABC News" said that the cause of the incident was that the fire burned to the side of the fireworks and caused an explosion.

At least 17 people were injured in the accident, including two pregnant women and three children, including a girl with second-degree burns.

In fact, firework explosion accidents are not uncommon in Mexico. In September this year, a firework explosion occurred during an event in a town west of the country's capital, Mexico City, killing 1 and injuring 39.
