The Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, said that the probability of Russia's use of

nuclear weapons

remains low.

He expressed this opinion in a comment to NTV.

"The risk of Russia using nuclear weapons in Ukraine is low, but the consequences will be huge, so we take it very seriously," Stoltenberg emphasized.

He added that the use of nuclear weapons would change the nature of the conflict, and there would be no winners in a nuclear war.

"Nuclear weapons will change the nature of the conflict.

A nuclear war will not be won.

We are clearly giving this message.

Currently, Russia's nuclear position remains unchanged."

Stoltenberg noted.

Reaction to nuclear threats of the Russian Federation

The heads of foreign affairs of the G7 member countries called on Russia

to stop nuclear rhetoric

and rejected its accusations against Ukraine of a "dirty bomb".

The President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping,

emphasized

the need to oppose the use of nuclear weapons, as well as the threats of their use.

According to him, the world community needs to "jointly oppose the use or threat of use of nuclear weapons" and prevent "a nuclear crisis on the Eurasian continent."

The former commander in chief of the US Army in Europe, Ben Godges, believes that Russia

will not use tactical nuclear weapons

in the war against Ukraine because it does not have the troops that could do it properly.
