The self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Oleksandr Lukashenko, shared fiction about how he allegedly tried to help Ukraine before Russia, and its president imposed sanctions against the Republic of Belarus.

The Belarusian dictator said this during one of his last speeches, the video of which was posted on the Internet.

"You don't need to make claims against me. You saw my position regarding Ukraine. What I didn't do there! And the first to impose sanctions against us was Kyiv -

Volodya Zelenskyi, whom I treated like my own child. And I did that , and this

, and asked Russia... I don't even want to say here. They are sanctions against us! Why?"

Lukashenko staged a drama.

And he immediately answered his own question, inventing that "they are not independent."

The politician fantasized that the Americans allegedly gave Ukraine a command through the Poles, which is why sanctions began to be introduced against Belarus.

"The sky has been closed to us. Why are you now turning to me and taking offense at me?

We are fulfilling our alliance agreements with Russia

," is how the self-proclaimed president called his support for the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine.

Lukashenko also assured once again that he is apparently not going to send his army to war, at the same time resorting to threats.

"I

have absolutely no desire to send troops to Ukraine,

if they (Ukrainian troops - ed.) do not set foot on our territory with weapons. Please come, we will treat you, they will carry you in our arms, you are our relatives. But with weapons in his hands - he almost won't give up," said the dictator.

Threat of attack from Belarus

Direct participation of Belarus in the war against Ukraine is currently unlikely - this is the latest assessment of analysts of the American Institute for the Study of War.

Lukashenko himself said the day before that he does not plan to send his army to fight against Ukraine, but "dreams" that there would be no war.

At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin is considering an attack from Belarus on Ukraine.

According to military expert Mykhailo Samus, the head of the Kremlin would like to fix the front in Ukraine in order to gather a decent army in the spring and launch an offensive in the direction of Sumy.

It should be noted that after the meeting in Germany, the heads of foreign affairs of the G7 member countries urged Lukashenka not to involve Belarus in the war against Ukraine.
