The Russian flag has disappeared from the building of the Kherson Regional State Administration.

The Ukrainian side does not rule out that the occupiers did it on purpose, because they are preparing provocations.

Which ones, Nataliya Humenyuk, head of the joint coordination press center of the Defense Forces "South", told during a nationwide telethon.

According to her, the Russians could take down the flag to show that their troops are not in the city.

"The enemy is trying to convince the Armed Forces of Ukraine that it is leaving populated areas. We are monitoring the situation. These may be certain tricks and military maneuvers in order to create a properly constructed defense for ourselves. We should not be in a hurry to rejoice, we must understand that a hybrid war involves such information leaks ", she said.

Instead, Humenyuk assumes that the occupiers change into civilian clothes in order to provoke and terrorize the local population.

And there are such cases not only in Kherson, but also in other settlements of the region in the homes of people who have left.

The representative of the Defense Forces "South" explained that the occupiers are trying to create a "picture" that allegedly Ukrainian troops are shelling the civilian population.

"They want to show that the Armed Forces, having entered the settlement, allegedly started shooting civilians. This is for the public and propaganda channels. But we are ready for these provocations," Humenyuk said.
