Currently, the situation in the

Bakhmut region

is difficult, but controlled by the Armed Forces.

The Ukrainian military successfully repulses the attacks of the Russian army.

This was announced during the briefing by the deputy head of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksiy Gromov.

"The enemy carried out airstrikes on the positions of our troops in the areas of Soledar and Bakhmut settlements, carried out offensive actions in the areas of seven settlements," he said.

The Armed Forces restrained the occupiers in the districts of Berestovo, Soledar and Bakhmut.

The General Staff emphasizes that the Russians are trying to capture Soledar in order to advance to Chasovoy Yar.

"The adversary is trying to block Bakhmut from the south and northeast and take control of Soledar. This will create favorable conditions for the continuation of the offensive in the direction of the settlement of Chasiv Yar with the aim of further blocking Bakhmut from the west. The armed forces of Ukraine are resisting. Everything will work out," Gromov emphasized. .
