The International Monetary Fund (IMF) announced its economic forecast for the oil and gas exporting countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia (CCA), including Azerbaijan.

"APA-Economics" informs that this information was included in the IMF's "Regional Economic Outlook: Middle East and Central Asia" report.

According to the IMF forecast, real gross domestic product (GDP) growth is expected to be 2.6% this year and 3.8% in 2023.

GDP growth in the non-oil sector is set at 3.5% for this year, and 3.2% for 2023.

According to the fund's forecast, the growth of the current account balance (CAB) will be 8.3% this year, 7.3% for the next year, and the growth of the total fiscal balance will be 2.1% and 2.6%, respectively.

The IMF predicted the average annual inflation for these countries at 14.1% in 2022 and 11.1% in 2023.

It should be noted that CCA oil and gas exporting countries include Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
