In Pavlograd, the police detained a local resident for committing a murder with particular brutality.

A man killed a 48-year-old woman with a hammer and dismembered her body.

This was reported by the police of Dnipropetrovsk region.

"Law enforcement officers found five plastic bags with fragments of a woman's body. They established the identity of the deceased woman - she was a 48-year-old resident of the Mykolayiv region. The policemen examined the video surveillance cameras, identified the relatives of the deceased and interviewed them. It turned out that the victim had been in close contact recently with a 54-year-old resident of Pavlograd," the agency said.

The husband's apartment was searched, during which physical evidence was found.

It was established that the victim was visiting her husband, where a quarrel arose between them.

"During the conflict, the suspect hit the woman several times on the head with a hammer, and the next day he found her dead. To hide the crime, he dismembered the body and put it in bags. On the same day, he took the body fragments to another area of ​​the city on a bicycle," - the details shocked in the police

The man was detained in accordance with Art.

208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

The tools of the crime and material evidence were removed and sent for expert examination.

Currently, the issue of selecting a preventive measure for the suspect is being resolved.

The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is imprisonment for a term of up to fifteen years.
