Fikret Amirov's 100th anniversary will be celebrated at UNESCO.

APA was informed about this by the Ministry of Culture.

It was noted that the 100th anniversary of Fikret Amirov was included in the 2022-2023 jubilee program of UNESCO within the framework of the 41st General Conference of UNESCO held in Paris on November 9-24, and the celebration of the jubilee at the UNESCO level was confirmed.

On November 3, under the joint organization of the Ministry of Culture and UNESCO, a musical evening dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Fikret Amirov will take place in Paris, in the concert hall of the UNESCO Headquarters.

People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan, conductor Fakhraddin Karimov, Uzeyir Hajibeyli Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra, People's Artist of the USSR and Azerbaijan Farhad Badalbeyli, Honored artists Sabina Asadova, Babek Niftaliyev, young singers Seljan Nasibli, Orkhan Jalilov will perform at the concert.

The concert program includes the composer's "Azerbaijani Capricciosu", "Gulustani Bayati-Shiraz", "Azerbaijani Suite", "Piano Concerto on Arabic Themes" composed with the co-authorship of Fikret Amirov and Elmira Nazirova, the famous "Song of the Blind Arab", vocal pearls "Azerbaijani Hands" and includes other works.

The director of the anniversary concert is Ulviyya Konul, Honored Art Worker.

It should be noted that in 2022, the 100th anniversary of the birth of the brilliant Azerbaijani composer and public figure Fikret Amirov (1922-1984) will be completed, and a series of events dedicated to the anniversary will be held.
