Today, October 31, in the morning in many regions of Ukraine, explosions

were reported

after a long air alert.

In some regions, such as in Kyiv,

Lviv,

Khmelnytskyi and Vinnytsia, air defense systems worked.

In the last two, fragments of rockets fell on residential buildings.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal specified that the occupiers hit

18 energy facilities.

Due to massive shelling of critical infrastructure in Ukraine, emergency emergency power outages are

introduced

.

Consumers are urged to limit the use of energy-intensive devices.

At present, work is ongoing to eliminate the consequences of the strikes.

Air defense forces shot down 44 out of more than 50

Russian missiles during the morning.

They were launched by strategic aviation planes from the north of the Caspian Sea and from the Rostov region.

One of the downed missiles fell in the village of Naslavcha in Moldova.

Western media condemned the Russian missile attacks.

So, the Washington Post writes that Russia shelled Kyiv and other major cities first on October 10, and then again the following Monday.

"Perhaps, this time the shelling could have been predicted after the drone attack against Russian warships in the Crimean port of Sevastopol," the publication notes.

The Financial Times notes that new Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities took place after Moscow announced its withdrawal from the "grain agreement".

The BBC writes that "today's Russian goals in Ukraine were very familiar."

The missiles were aimed at energy infrastructure facilities in cities across Ukraine, located far from the front line.

The publication emphasizes that the Russian army very often launches dozens of missiles and drones at the same time, trying to overload the Ukrainian air defense system.

Recently, Russian troops have increased their shelling of energy infrastructure facilities in Ukraine.

They use cruise missiles, surface-to-surface air defense missiles and Shahed-136 kamikaze drones provided by Iran for their attacks.

On October 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed Russia's massive strikes on Ukraine, particularly on energy facilities.

At the same time, he threatened new attacks "in case of continuing attempts to carry out terrorist attacks on Russian territory."
