A major accident has occurred due to the collapse of a bridge in Morbi, Gujarat.

A video related to this accident is going viral.

In this video, people who fell in the river after the bridge collapsed are seen swimming to save their lives.

While many people are trying to save lives in some way by grabbing the remaining part of the broken bridge.

It is seen in this video that some people who had escaped from falling in the river are also trying to climb up by grabbing the remaining part of the bridge to save themselves. 

According to the information received so far, 30 people have lost their lives in this accident while more than 100 people are still missing.

It is said that about 500 people were on it when the bridge collapsed.

Rescue work is going on in full swing at the spot.

According to reports, the suspension bridge collapsed in Morbi today.

Around 100 people are still feared trapped in the water.

The bridge was opened after repairs four days ago.

Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi has left for Morbi.

PM Modi was in Gujarat today.

He has called up the Gujarat CM and asked him to take stock of the situation.

SDRF teams, fire brigade, steamers are being immediately transported from Rajkot, Kutch to Morbi.

Morbi Cable Bridge was a historic bridge built many years ago.

After repairs and restoration, this bridge was inaugurated on 26 October on the occasion of Gujarati New Year.

According to reports, the government tender for the renovation of the bridge was awarded to Odhavji Patel-owned Orewa Group.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and concerned officials regarding the accident in Morbi.

He has demanded immediate deployment of teams for the rescue operation.

He has asked to monitor the situation closely and continuously and provide all possible help to the affected people.
