Ukraine's ambassador to Germany, Oleksiy Makeev, believes that Berlin is too slow to help Ukraine.

German "Leopard" tanks and "Marder" BMPs would help the Armed Forces to deal with the enemy.

He said this in an interview with Bild.

In his opinion, the Federal Government should quickly make a decision regarding assistance to Ukraine with weapons.

"When I look at the actions of Germany in this war, it can be compared to a German sports car driving on the autobahn at a speed of 30 km/h. Instead of quickly providing something that would really help us in the fight against the Russians, we are being explained for weeks , why our demands cannot be met under any circumstances. This goes on for weeks or months, and eventually Germany helps - but only when it is almost too late. So it was with armored vehicles, with artillery, with rocket launchers. You could would do much more, much faster," he says.

He noted that now tanks and long-range artillery would be of great help to Ukraine.

"If we are going to push back the Russians, we need these weapons. We have repeatedly explained this to the federal government. I will say in my own words: I love German wildlife, especially leopards and martens," said Makeev.

We will remind that in Russia, before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, the task of a nuclear strike on Germany was discussed.

Western special services intercepted radio messages of the Russian Navy from a maneuver in the Baltic Sea at the end of last year.
