woman's middle road delivery

New Delhi:

The hallmark of how bad the health system is in Madhya Pradesh was seen on Saturday when the diesel of an ambulance ran out on the way while taking a pregnant woman to the hospital in the midst of labor pains.

Forcedly, the victim's family had to get the woman delivered midway.

The matter is being told of Banauli of Shahnagar area of Panna district of Madhya Pradesh.

According to the information received, this incident is of Friday evening.

When Reshma, a resident of Banauli village, was in labor pain, the family called 108 ambulance for emergency facility.

The ambulance reached the village and took the woman to Shahnagar Community Health Center.

But his diesel ran out on the way before the ambulance could reach the community health center.

The place where the diesel of the ambulance ran out was a deserted road.

So, it was not even possible to ask for help from anyone else.

In such a situation, seeing Reshma's pain increasing, the family decided to get Reshma delivered on the middle road itself.

Reshma gave birth to her child in the light of the torch.

The plight of health services in the state exposes all the claims of the government.

Let us tell you that this is not the first incident showing the poor and helpless health system in Madhya Pradesh.

Earlier, a similar case had come to the fore in Daboh area only a few months back.

Here the health of an elderly person deteriorated.

His family kept calling 108 ambulance to take the elderly to the hospital but the ambulance did not reach.

Under compulsion, the elder's son Hari Singh took a handcart and made his father lie on it and reached the hospital after pushing the cart for 5 kilometers.

On reaching there his father could be treated.

This case was being told of Marpura village.

The financial condition of Harikrishna Vishwakarma, a resident of Marpura village, was not very good.

He does not even have enough money to buy his own mobile phone.

When his father's health deteriorated, he called the ambulance after taking the neighbor's phone but the ambulance did not reach.

Distressed Harikrishna Vishwakarma had brought his father to the hospital after lying on the hand cart.

In this case, Lahar BMO Dharmendra Srivastava said that after informing his senior officer, he will take strict action.

BMO itself is admitting that this is a sad incident.
