[Central News Agency] Aimini, a Kurdish woman in Iran, died after being detained because she was suspected of not wearing a hijab. Many people poured into Aimini's hometown of Sagez to commemorate her death for 40 days.

Meanwhile, Iranian media reported that gunmen attacked a Shia Muslim shrine in the city of Shiraz today, killing at least 15 people.

A 22-year-old Iranian Kurdish woman, Mahsa Amini, died in custody on September 16 after she was arrested by morality police last month on charges of "improper dress", Agence France-Presse reported.

And October 26 is the 40th day of her death.

In memory of Amini, many Iranians flocked to her hometown of Saqez, in western Kurdistan, to pay their respects at her grave.

Meanwhile, the Iranian news agency IRNA reported that armed men attacked a Shiite Muslim shrine in the south-central city of Shiraz today, killing at least 15 people.

The Iranian news agency described the attackers as "Takfiri terrorists".

Officials in Iran, a predominantly Shiite Muslim country, used the title to refer to the hardline armed Sunni Islamist group.
