The United States of America, France and Great Britain said that they consider Russia's information about "plans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine" to detonate a "dirty bomb" on their territory to be "openly false".

Ukraine will receive support for its sovereignty and territorial integrity "as much as necessary", assured the heads of the foreign affairs departments of the three states.

"We, the foreign ministers of France, Great Britain and the United States, reiterate our unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine in the face of ongoing Russian aggression.

We remain determined to continue to support Ukraine's efforts to defend its territory for as long as necessary.

Today, the defense ministers of each of our countries spoke with the Russian defense minister, Sergei Shayga, at his request.

Our countries have made it clear that we all do not accept Russia's blatantly false claims that Ukraine is preparing to use a "dirty nuclear bomb" on its own territory.

The world will recognize any attempt to use this statement as a basis for escalation.

We also deny any reason for escalation on the part of Russia," says the joint statement of the US Secretary of State

Anthony Blinken

and the heads of the Foreign Affairs of France and Britain,

Catherine Colony

and

James Cleverly

.

On Sunday, October 23, the head of the Ministry of Defense of Russia,

Sergei Shaigu

, called four defense ministers of NATO countries: Turkey, Great Britain, France and the United States.

With the heads of the defense ministries of France, Turkey, and Britain, Shaigu separately discussed the "plans of the Ukrainian Armed Forces" to detonate the "dirty bomb."

It is not clear whether there was a conversation about this with the US Defense Minister

Lloyd Austin, Shaigu

called him later than the others.

On the morning of October 23, a note entitled "The Kyiv regime is preparing a provocation with a "dirty bomb" in Ukraine" appeared on the website of the Russian state information agency RIA "Novosti", its authors referred to "trustworthy sources in various countries, including Ukraine."

The material also reports that Kyiv is working on the creation of such a bomb "under the leadership of Western curators", and these works are "already at the final stage".

The purpose of such provocation, according to the note's authors, is to accuse Russia of using weapons of mass destruction.

There are no additional proofs or sources of Shaigu's knowledge about the "dirty bomb" in the reports about his negotiations with the ministers.
