13 nightclubs in the capital and in three regional cities have been inspected as part of a specialized operation against drug distribution, the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.
The actions were carried out on the night of October 22 and 23 on the territory of the SDVR and the regional directorates in Plovdiv, Burgas and Varna.
The operation was ordered by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Demerdzhiev and was conducted under the methodical guidance of the "Narcotics" sector of the General Directorate of the "National Police".
In the course of the specialized operation, 13 drinking establishments, nightclubs and entertainment clubs were checked, for which information was obtained that narcotic substances are used and/or distributed in them.
In the area of the establishments, a control was also undertaken to prevent the driving of motor vehicles after the use of alcohol or narcotic substances.

During the police actions, a check was carried out on 186 persons (21 of them were found to be from the active criminal contingent). A total of 14 persons were detained, 2 of whom were declared a nationwide wanted man.
7 pre-trial proceedings were established, 11 protocols were drawn up (7 - under the Ministry of Interior and 4 - investigative).
Various types and quantities of narcotic substances were seized.
