Georgi Semerdzhiev, accused of the serious accident on Cherni Vrah Blvd., in which two young girls died, wants to go free.

He has applied to change his remand to a lighter one.

The case will be heard in the Sofia City Court.

Five charges have been brought against Semerdzhiev, including drug possession and driving without a license.

An internal investigation at the Ministry of the Interior has been launched into the case.

According to the results, until now three heads of regional offices and the head of the "Road Police" have not exercised enough control to stop the "spreading of an umbrella" over Semerdzhiev.
