Dalongdong Baoan Baosheng Emperor's Christmas celebration has a rare beast and mythical car in the country.

[Reporter Zheng Mingxiang/Taipei Report] One of the three major religious events in Taipei City, the "Dalongdong Baosheng Emperor's Christmas Celebration" has become an important celebration nationwide. Announcing that the Baosheng Emperor's Christmas Celebration in Dalongdong Baoan Gong was registered as an intangible cultural asset, and commended Baoan Gong's contribution to maintaining and promoting traditional folk beliefs.

Built in 1742, Dalongdong Baoan Temple is not only a local religious center, but also a representative temple and historic site in Taipei City. Every year on March 15th of the lunar calendar, the day before Baosheng Emperor’s Christmas, and on March 14th of the lunar calendar, a detour is held. On the birthday of the gods, there are grand sacrificial ceremonies, including lions on fire, fires and family name dramas. It has become a series of Christmas celebrations for Baosheng Emperor, and it is also an important religious event in China. Shengda's Christmas celebration submits intangible cultural assets for deliberation, or unanimously approved by all attending cultural assets committees to register as intangible cultural assets.

The cultural resources committee believes that there are cultural traditions such as circumnavigating the border, setting fire to lions, and family surname drama, and the Baoan Temple believers are formed to participate in the circumnavigation. The Dalongdong Baoan Temple has held this celebration since the Japanese occupation period, and has resumed folk activities such as setting fires of lions. As a cultural resource preserver, it is worthy of recognition for the achievements of this folklore knowledge, expression, and regular holding.

Taipei City Cultural Director Li Lizhu said when conferring the certificate today that cultural, religious, local and other elements are indispensable for the development of urban tourism in Taipei. He thanked the Baoan Palace for its spared no effort to maintain intangible cultural assets, and in recent years, the temple has organized the preservation of life cultural festivals and vigorously promoted religious culture and history. Folklore has become a well-known cultural brand activity in the country, and it is well-deserved to be registered as a conservator; and the Cultural Affairs Bureau is also entrusting the Taipei University of the Arts to conduct a historical and cultural research and promotion on the Christmas celebration of the Emperor Baosheng, hoping to let the people at home and abroad know more about Taiwan traditional belief culture.

In order to let the public know more about the Dalongdong Baoan Palace and the "Dalongdong Baosheng Emperor's Christmas Celebration", the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture will hold an "Arts and Arts Festival" in the Wanhua Bopiliao Historical and Cultural District from December 3rd.
