The occupiers flee from the Kherson region

On October 18, the Russian Gauleiter of the Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo, announced the relocation of the civilian population to the left bank of the Dnieper due to the so-called danger of flooding due to the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP.

The occupiers invented that such a "terrorist attack" was being planned by the Armed Forces.

The very next day, on October 19, collaborator Saldo announced that entry for civilians to the Kherson region would be closed for seven days.

The newly appointed commander of the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine, General Serhiy Surovikin, admitted that the situation near Kherson is "difficult" and warned about the possibility of making "difficult decisions".

The adviser to the head of the President's Office, Oleksiy Arestovych, said that the occupiers can leave the right bank of the Dnieper, but the surviving troops there can be thrown into a new offensive on Kyiv or transferred to the Donetsk direction.

Meanwhile, the President's Office reported that as of October 21, the Armed Forces managed to liberate 88 settlements of the Kherson region from the enemy.

Compared to October 4, 50 villages and towns were deoccupied.
