Angry over the non-construction of roads in Gwalior, pro-Scindia Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar stopped wearing shoes and slippers on Thursday.

He has also apologized to the people of the city for not getting the roads built.

Tomar said- 'Until Laxman Talaiya, Gendewali road and JAH's road become walkable, he will not wear footwear.'

Energy Minister Tomar first inspected the road from Laxman Talaiya to Shabd Pratap Ashram on foot.

Expressed displeasure at the concerned officials for the slow progress of the construction work.

Also said that due to non-construction of road, common people are facing lot of problems.

Let us tell you that about 6 months ago, Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar has taken out a padyatra to listen to the problems of the people.

52-year-old Tomar walked 20 to 22 kilometers daily in 41 degree temperature.

In this walk of 75 km, he keeps listening to the problems of the people amidst the scorching sun.
