China on Wednesday blocked a proposal by India and the US to blacklist Hafiz Talah Saeed, son of Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Talah Saeed at the United Nations.

This is China's second such step in two days.

Hafiz Talah Saeed (46) is the son of Hafiz Saeed, a prominent leader of the terrorist group Lashkar and the mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

In April this year, he was declared a terrorist by the Government of India.

It is being told that China has obstructed the resolution under the 1267 Al Qaeda Sanctions Committee of the United Nations Security Council.

This is the second time in two days that Beijing has blocked an Indian and US attempt to designate a Pakistani terrorist as a global terrorist.

China on Tuesday also blocked the proposal of India and the US to include Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Shahid Mehmood in the list of global terrorist.
