A series of shootings occurred in Wanhua District of Taipei City tonight. A large number of police were reported and rushed to round up. The police and bandits confronted each other outside the Qingshan Palace in Mengka.

[Reporters Yao Yuehong, Wang Guanren, Liu Qinghou/Taipei Report] Two consecutive shootings occurred in Wanhua District, Taipei City today (19), causing a total of 3 people and 1 policeman with gunshot wounds. They are all sober. It is reported that it is suspected to be a dispute between the corners of Wanhua District. The reason for the shooting is unknown. At present, the suspected shooter is still hiding in the house.

It is understood that the first shooting occurred at 7:26 in the evening, on the 7th floor of a residential house in the second section of Hankou Street, Wanhua District. There was a suspected dispute at the scene. There were 2 injured people, all of whom were conscious. One male was about 50 years old. He suffered gunshot wounds (one on his back and right hand, and seven on his legs) and was sent to National Taiwan University Hospital. Another 55-year-old male had five gunshot wounds on his body (one on his abdomen and one on his limbs) and was sent to Mackay Hospital.

The second shooting occurred at 7:43 p.m. in front of Mengka Qingshan Palace in Wanhua District. There was a suspected dispute at the scene. Many people gathered in a crowd to fight. A total of 2 injured people were conscious. A 27-year-old man with 1 gunshot wound to his right thigh, a male about 60 years old with 3 gunshot wounds to his torso, were all sent to National Taiwan University Hospital.
