In the Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation (ATF), a meeting was held with the teams that won the European interclub championship in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.

According to the Apasport.az website, ATF vice-presidents Nagi Safarov and Niyamaddin Pashayev, member of the Board of Directors Vugar Mammadov, head coaches of the clubs and prize-winning athletes took part in the meeting.

Nagi Safarov called the performance of our athletes, who won 9 medals in various teams, successful.

He said that the path to great success starts from adolescence.

According to the vice-president, the champions who made their name in the country's taekwondo also achieved success in lower age groups and followed it up.

He wished them to continue this in the next competitions.

The head coach of "Umid", whose 4 students won the European championship, Ilkin Shahbazov said that he believes that they will continue their successful performance.

Our European champion noted that the young taekwondo players will use all their skills for a more confident performance.

Niyamaddin Pashayev emphasized that our clubs had a successful performance in Tallinn.

Congratulating the winners of the European Championship, the ATF official expressed confidence that they will raise the Azerbaijani flag high in the future.

Thanking the teachers who prepared the clubs for competitions, the world champion said that the federation will always support them to conquer higher peaks in the future.

It should be noted that Sabir Mammadli (27 kg) won gold, Joshgun Mammadzade (33 kg) won silver, Rasim Garayev (27 kg) and Kanan Balayev (30 kg) won bronze medals.

Hasan Suleymanov won the title of champion in "Gadabey" led by Beyrak Bagirov.

Mehman Ganbarov (27 kg) from "Fortis" won the third place in the European Championship. Two taekwondo players of "Alov" coached by Asim Khudiyev won silver (44 kg) and Isa Huseynli (40 kg) bronze.

Vugar Karimov (68 kg) won the 9th medal for Azerbaijan.

He finished second in the European Championship among veterans.
