The former People's Deputy was exposed for trying to bribe the mayor of Dnipro for the opportunity to build a subway in the city without a tender.

This is reported by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.

"On October 18, 2022, NABU and SAP exposed a former People's Deputy in an attempt to bribe the mayor of Dnipro for 22 million euros. This is one of the record sums of the proposed illegal benefit recorded by law enforcement officers in Ukraine," the source said.

In October, a people's deputy, who in the past held a high position in the state company "UkrBud", offered the mayor of Dnipro a bribe for concluding a contract for the construction of the subway outside of competition with companies under his control.

NABU, commenting on the detention, noted that the issue of the notification of suspicion is being resolved.

"The suspect may be announced in the near future," NABU spokeswoman Svitlana Olifira told TSN.ua.

At the same time, she did not confirm or deny the fact that it is precisely about the former People's Deputy Maksym Mykytas, as some mass media write.

We will remind you that some Ukrainian oligarchs and businessmen have fled abroad since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

There, elite "refugees" away from rockets and mobilization have fun on the Cote d'Azur while Ukrainians defend their land.
