The President of

Moldova,

Maya Sandu, reported that the Russians who, after the announcement of mobilization in the Russian Federation, actively rushed abroad, entering her country, undergo a special check.

She made such a statement during a joint press conference with the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili.

"The security risks today are higher than usual, our authorities apply a filter that ensures that

people with bad intentions and a desire to destabilize the situation

do not enter the country," said Sandu.

In the meantime, the media reports that many Russian men who flew to Chisinau complain that they are turned around at the border and sent back to Russia.

In addition, Sandu emphasized that if Russia in any way threatens the territorial integrity of Moldova, the country will take measures to protect itself.

In confirmation of her words, she recalled that since the moment of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, she has been negotiating with partners to help strengthen Moldova's defense capabilities.

It will be recalled that earlier President Maya Sandu warned that if the residents of Transnistria, who have dual citizenship, go to fight on the side of Russia in Ukraine after being drafted,

Moldova may deprive them of their citizenship.

According to her, Moldova is consulting with Moscow to prevent cases of conscription of its citizens.
