Fuels are sold at very different prices in the Montana region, a BTA reporter study found.

While in the regional center the prices are dictated by "Lukoil" and are BGN 3.24 per liter of diesel, BGN 2.91 per liter of gasoline and BGN 1.08 per liter of autogas, and at the rest of the gas stations in the city they are slightly higher. but close to these prices, in the small villages of the region, fuels are sold up to 30 cents per liter more expensive.

Will fuel prices increase in winter?

In the resort town of Varshets, which is located 30 kilometers from Montana, a liter of diesel is sold for BGN 3.38, gasoline for BGN 3.16 and autogas for BGN 1.30.

The prices are the same at all gas stations in the city, regardless of who owns them.

In Valchedrum, which is 45 kilometers from Montana, the prices are BGN 3.35 for diesel, BGN 3.08 for gasoline and BGN 1.28 for autogas.

Similar prices are maintained by other gas stations in the villages and smaller towns of the region.

In some of the small towns, the prices become even more salty, since most of the local gas stations do not work with the state discount of BGN 0.25 per liter of fuel, they do not have discount cards and the announced prices are valid without any change.

Thus, in practice, it turns out that although fuel prices in the world and in Bulgaria have been decreasing for 3-4 months, in the small villages of the Montana region this has not yet been felt.

Because of this paradox, many of the car owners in the small villages travel to the regional center and fill up tanks and bottles of autogas there, and when the fuel runs out, they come to Montana again.

If the driver fills up in Montana and goes to Sofia through the Petrokhan pass, where the distance is about 100 kilometers, with a medium-powered car it costs about BGN 15-18 for diesel fuel, BGN 18-22 for gasoline and BGN 8-11 for autogas.

However, if the driver loads in Varshets and goes to Sofia, where the route is 15-20 kilometers shorter, he will pay more money than if he starts from Montana and loads there.

According to the workers at gas stations in Montana, in recent months, drivers have massively abandoned diesel cars and bought gasoline cars with gas systems because of the favorable price of gas.

At the moment, autogas is the most sought-after fuel in the region, which is due to its price - BGN 0.80 with the discount and with a Lukoil club card.

In recent months, there are always queues in front of the autogas filling stations at this gas station, everyone fills the bottle to the top, and it often happens that the gas runs out and there is a long wait for the tank to fill up with new autogas.
