The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called on Iran to stop supplying Russia with weapons in the war against Ukraine and threatened responsibility for complicity in aggression.

This is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that in just one week, Russia carried out a hundred strikes by Iranian drones on civilian objects and the energy infrastructure of Ukraine.

The terrorist acts of the Russian Federation and the murders of Ukrainians make Iran complicit in the aggression against Ukraine.

"We call on Tehran to immediately stop the supply of any weapons to Russia. Otherwise, Iran and its leadership will bear the most severe responsibility, including within the framework of international legal proceedings regarding Russia's crimes against Ukraine," the message reads.

Dmytro Kuleba has already appealed to the EU countries with a request to impose sanctions on Iran due to the supply of drones to the Russian Federation.

"Harsh sanctions against Iran are becoming especially relevant against the background of reports of the Iranian side's intentions to transfer surface-to-surface ballistic missiles to Russia for their use in the war against Ukraine. Ukraine will take all available measures to protect the civilian population, sovereignty and territorial integrity from external aggression in within the framework of the implementation of the inalienable right to self-defense in accordance with the UN Charter," the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

How Russia uses Iranian drones in the war against Ukraine

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, announced that Iran had handed over 2,000 of its drones to Russia.

The occupiers are constantly shelling the south of Ukraine and Kyiv with them.

The Washington Post, citing representatives of the US security services and its allies, reports that Iran is preparing to provide Russia with ballistic missiles that the invaders can use to fire at Ukraine.

Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, accused Iran of involvement in mass murders of Ukrainians.

It is with Iranian drones that Russia attacks the south of Ukraine and Kyiv.

Iran cynically denies the information that they have handed over to Russia the drones that the occupiers use to kill Ukrainians.
