Keir Giles from the British think tank Chatham House said that the

war

in Ukraine is gaining momentum as winter approaches.

He believes that Ukraine is approaching a new and important stage in the war against Russia.

And this stage is quite unpredictable.

CNN writes about it.

"Ukraine's war against Russia has entered the next phase. And this phase began after the massive shelling by the Russian military on the territory of Ukraine on October 10 with the aim of damaging critical infrastructure. However, the Ukrainian army continues to attack and liberate captured settlements. And this is happening against the background of the explosion on the Kerch bridge, which had a significant negative effect for the Russians, and gave a new impetus to the Ukrainians to continue their struggle," the expert noted.

The analyst believes that ground battles on the entire front line will decrease in intensity due to the approaching cold weather.

Therefore, the next few weeks of war will be crucial for Ukraine.

But at the same time, Russia can try to change the course of the war in its favor.

We will remind, the analyst of the National Institute of Strategic Studies Oleksiy Yizhak believes that the

massive missile attack on various regions of Ukraine on October 10 is a personal decision of the dictator-president Vladimir Putin.

Instead, military expert Mykhailo Samus suggests that

behind the mass attacks on Ukraine is a

group of Russian terrorists, including the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, the newly appointed commander of the "special operation" Serhiy Surovikin, and the head of PMC "Wagner".

Evgeny Prigozhin.
