Police in the city of Stockton, California, said yesterday that they had arrested a man suspected of carrying out six consecutive murders that shook the northern part of the state, Reuters reported.

The suspect, dressed in black, with a mask around his neck and with a firearm in the car, was on a "mission to kill," city police Chief Stanley McFadden said at a news conference.

He added that the arrested person is Wesley Brownlee, 43 years old.
