  • The Mission of Democratic Belarus was established in Brussels, headed by Vladimir Ostapenko.

  • They agreed with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metzola, to find a special format for relations between the European Parliament and the Joint Transitional Cabinet, to conduct a campaign of writing letters to political prisoners.

    They discussed a possible campaign to support political prisoners.

  • At the meeting with European Commissioner Oliver Vargeliy, they discussed the increase of EU support for Belarusian human rights defenders, independent media, business and culture for 2023.

  • Ministers of the European Union invited Svetlana Tikhanovskaya to speak at the Council of Ministers of the European Union on November 14.

    They will also consider sanctions against Lukashenka's regime (in a separate package from Russia).

  • It was agreed with the members of the European Parliament that at the meeting of Euronest, which will take place in Moldova, Belarus will be represented by a delegation of democratic forces, not the regime.

    They also agreed to hold an event in support of repressed trade unions and workers within the European Parliament.

  • Belarus, represented by democratic forces, will remain in the "Eastern Partnership" programs.

    Belarusian NGOs will have access to support programs.

  • The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium stated that Belgium will continue to support independent media in Belarus.

    They discussed the status of the Mission of Democratic Belarus in Brussels, as well as the cooperation of the Belgian government with Belarusians there.

  • The Speaker of the Parliament of Cyprus invited Tsikhanovskaya to Cyprus for an official visit.

    She will also consider the possibility of accepting children from repressed families (as was done in Italy and Norway) and will call on members of the Cypriot parliament to take political prisoners under guardianship.
