Under the command of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev, engineering works are being continued in our territories liberated as a result of the Patriotic War, which ended with the victory of the Azerbaijani Army.

According to the information provided to APA by the Ministry of Defense, the roads are cleared of mines in order to ensure the safe movement of vehicles by the units and units of the Engineering Corps of the Azerbaijan Army.

As a result of the interaction of the Engineer Corps with other government agencies, more than 50 km of new supply roads have been built in October of this year, in total, more than 1078 km of new supply roads have been built in areas freed from occupation in order to ensure the operation of units in complex terrain, including difficult-to-pass rocky areas. .

In addition, 81 and 1,796 road signs were installed on the newly built security roads during the month of October.

As a result of the activity of engineering and fortification units in our liberated areas, more than 550 hectares of land were completely cleared of mines and unexploded ammunition during the period from October 1 to today.

To date, more than 27,960 hectares of land have been cleared of mines by engineering and fortification units in the liberated territories.

In total, 9,726 pieces of anti-personnel, 2,485 pieces of anti-tank and 10,316 pieces of unexploded ammunition were detected and destroyed.

The main efforts in demining were directed to settlements, agricultural fields, roads and infrastructure facilities in the liberated areas.

Detection and neutralization of mines and unexploded ammunition, as well as other necessary measures for engineering support, continue in our liberated areas.
