US President Joe Biden instructed to allocate another 725 million dollars from the US defense budget to help Ukraine in the field of security and defense.

The new aid package includes military equipment and munitions, including HARM high-speed anti-radiation missiles, additional munitions for HIMARS systems, small arms and more than two million rounds of ammunition.

In addition, the United States will send medical equipment to Ukraine and provide assistance in military training.

A US official told Reuters that the next aid package is intended to support Ukrainian forces in a counteroffensive.

The Ukrainian army has already liberated 1,620 settlements, according to the Office of the President of Ukraine.

  • Since the beginning of 2022, the United States has allocated more than 50 billion dollars to Ukraine, of which almost 27 billion are directly for military needs.

  • The USA, European countries, as well as Japan and Australia have already provided billions of dollars in military, financial and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

US aid is the most significant.

Great Britain, Germany, Canada and Poland follow the USA in terms of the size of the tranches to Ukraine.

  • Earlier, representatives of Russia repeatedly commented on the help of Western countries to Ukraine.

According to them, NATO is "playing with fire" by supplying weapons to Ukraine.

Also, Russia sent a note to several countries, including the USA, condemning the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
