Mini Horse: So many people are looking at me, I'd be shy!

[Reporter Cai Yahua/Taipei Report] The Taipei Zoo launched the "Animal Behavior Academy" this year. Recently, the nurses led alpacas and miniature horses to walk in the park to conduct "desensitization" training, helping animals step by step to reduce the occurrence of strangers in close proximity. In the future, people will have the opportunity to meet cute animals on the tourist trail.

The "Animal Behavior Academy" was very popular among the public. The park said that in order for animals that are not usually in contact with the crowd to show natural behavior in front of the crowd, the nurses have to spend a lot of time and effort to communicate with the animals. After they have cultivated feelings and gained trust, and after the "desensitization" training, they will be less affected by the enthusiasm of tourists when they perform in the academy in the future.

The park pointed out that the largest animal goodwill ambassador in the academy is a miniature horse. It has a strong body and is wary of crowds. Therefore, on the way to the "desensitization" training, the caregiver reminded the onlookers: "Don't stand behind the horse, They kick back!" Tourists were surprised and happy when they saw the animal, followed the animal along the way, and sometimes asked, "How did it come out? Are horses afraid of people? Its fur is beautiful and looks healthy."

The happiest thing for the nurses is that the animals they take care of are praised. Seeing the miniature horses, they followed the nurses to the left and right. It turned out that they smelled the carrots in the nurses' pockets; the wild mulberry leaves in the park provided "jumping" gourmet punch cards along the road. When the animals stop, the nurses will have the opportunity to interact with the public and introduce the miniature horses and alpacas that are undergoing training on "steady following" and "desensitization".

The park said that if the public sees animals "jumping" in the park, please hold on to the surging emotions, help the nursery staff to get the animals used to the crowded places, and complete the animal "desensitization" training together.

Tourists were surprised and happy when they saw the animal "Jianda", and took pictures with the animal along the way.

If a tourist sees an animal conservationist taking alpacas, miniature horses and other animals in the park, it means that the conservationist is conducting desensitization training for the animals.
