The Tut.by portal has been operating in Belarus for more than 20 years.

On May 18, 2021, access to the resource was limited by the decision of the Ministry of Information.

On the same day, security forces appeared in the Tut.by editorial office in the morning, and 15 of its current and former employees were put behind bars.

The office was sealed, the servers were blocked.

Gradually, part of the employees were released under house arrest, changing the measure of restraint.

About the persecution of Tut.by

  • On May 18, the editor's office was blocked for publishing "information prohibited by law", the FIU officers came there.

    Later, the department reported that a criminal case was opened against officials for evasion of paying taxes in a particularly large amount.

    According to law enforcement officials, a resident of the Park of High Technologies received income that was not determined by the activities allowed for residents.
