France will not respond with nuclear weapons to a tactical nuclear strike by Russia on the territory of Ukraine.

This was announced by French President Emmanuel Macron live on France 2.

"Our doctrine is based on the fundamental interests of the nation. They are clearly defined and will not be directly violated if, for example, there is a ballistic nuclear attack in Ukraine, the region," Macron said.

According to him, today there is no need to talk too much about the risks of a nuclear attack on Ukraine, because, as they say, "deterrence works."

"The Russian Federation has nuclear weapons. So does France. Our doctrine on this issue is clear. Deterrence works. The less we talk about it, the less we inflate the threat and the more we are trusted. Too many people are talking about it." , - emphasized Macron.

Putin's nuclear threats: how the world is reacting to it

Russia has been blackmailing the world with its nuclear weapons for months.

The situation with Russian nuclear weapons is constantly being monitored not only in Ukraine, but also in the USA, NATO and other allied countries of Kyiv.

As of October 6, the Pentagon reported that the US has not yet seen any signs that Russian President Vladimir Putin has decided to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, believes that the risks of Russia's use of nuclear weapons are quite ambiguous at the moment, and is convinced that "the Russian authorities love life."

In turn, the adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak, also stated that infighting and the struggle for power in the Russian Federation indicate that the aggressor country will not use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

Like, Putin's nuclear blackmail is just threats that you don't need to be afraid of.

In addition, Russian political scientist and publicist Andriy Piontkovsky believes that the probability that Russian President Vladimir Putin will use nuclear weapons against Ukraine is extremely low.

The expert named three reasons and explained why the Kremlin dictator will not do this.

Ukrainian military expert Oleg Zhdanov also doubts the use of nuclear weapons.

He believes that this probability is not as great as the panic surrounding this topic, because the risk of Russia using nuclear weapons is minimal, but one should not give up on the fact that the threat exists.
