"The General Assembly adopted a politicized and openly provocative document, which not only ignores all the facts, but is also a prerequisite for preventing all future efforts to find a diplomatic solution to the crisis in Ukraine," added Vasily Nebenzya, Permanent Representative of Russia in the UN.

US President Joe Biden described the resolution as a message to Moscow that it cannot wipe a sovereign state off the map or change borders by force.

Biden added that the world is more determined and more united than ever to hold Russia accountable for its actions.
