[Reporter Chen Zhengyu/Taipei Report] Guo Guowenjin, a legislator of the Democratic Progressive Party and chairman of the Yadong Congressman Friendship Association (13th), said that at the invitation of his Japanese friends, he will attend the late Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe together with legislator Shen Fahui. His hometown, Yamaguchi Prefecture, held a prefectural funeral in memory of Abe on the 15th, and participated in a flower laying ceremony to pay tribute to Abe's family.

Guo Guowen pointed out that after the national funeral of Shinzo Abe, Japanese friends and diplomatic agencies all believed that if Taiwan representatives also participated in the funeral of the county residents, it would better highlight the friendship between Taiwan and Japan and Taiwan's feelings for Shinzo Abe; therefore, after he received the invitation letter, Guo Guowen pointed out. They decided to participate and planned to visit Japanese politicians and civil society groups to promote the deepening of Taiwan-Japan relations.

Guo Guowen said that he just visited Japan in early August. Now that the border is lifted, he has another opportunity to go to Japan for parliamentary diplomacy.

Taking into account the period of the Legislative Yuan's deliberation, in order to avoid interfering with the legislator's questioning duties, only a 3-day itinerary is arranged, and it is expected to go to Japan on the 14th.
