The Center for Combating Disinformation found that during October 13, 2022, the occupiers spread:

  • Fake

On the air of one of the TV channels of the Russian Federation, former deputy of the VRU V. Oliinyk said that "V. Kim gave an order to go around the apartments of residents of the region to identify separatists, this is part of measures to intimidate the population", because Ukraine has "turned into a concentration camp for dissidents" in the last 8 years. .

  • Manipulation

Russian President Vladimir Putin said: "We call for the elimination of all artificial, illegitimate barriers that prevent the restoration of normal functioning of global supply chains in order to solve the urgent challenges of food security."

  • Misinformation

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation stated: "referendums were held in full compliance with the Declaration on the Principles of International Law, which guarantees the territorial integrity of those states where "governments represent the entire people without distinction of race, religion or skin color."

It is quite obvious that the Kyiv authorities absolutely do not meet this criterion."

The spread of fakes

We will remind that, in addition to the war on the battlefield, Russia is waging an information war aimed at sowing chaos and panic among the civilian population.

Among the most widely distributed

fakes are the alleged "escape" of the Ukrainian president and the "offensive" of the army of Belarus

.

Therefore, we urge Ukrainians not to panic, to listen to the advice of state authorities and to trust information only from verified sources.
