SBU employees discovered a place of illegal detention of people in liberated

This was reported by the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine.

It is noted that the torture chamber was set up in a recreation boarding house not far from the Sviatohirskaya Lavra.

The Russian military forcibly detained local residents there who supported the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Reportedly, during the inspection, operatives and investigators of the SBU found objects that directly indicate signs of torture.

Currently, a complex of investigative and operational measures is being conducted.

Within the framework of the initiated criminal proceedings under Part

1, 2 Art.

438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, investigative and operational actions are ongoing.

Currently, SBU investigators are establishing the number and identities of victims, as well as non-humans involved in torture.

Deoccupation of Donetsk region

It will be recalled that Sviatohirsk was liberated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on September 12.

The fighters entered the settlement and started taking photos and videos.

Later, the information was confirmed by the National Guard.

Lyman was liberated by the Ukrainian military on October 1, raising the Ukrainian flag in the city.

Now there is a large-scale demining, so people are not recommended to return home yet.

Exhumation and reburial of the bodies of those who died during the Russian occupation began in Lyman and Sviatohirsk.

21 bodies were reburied at the Sviatohirska city cemetery.

These bodies belong to civilians killed in the occupation.
