Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the first phase of the Shri Mahakal Lok Corridor to the nation in Ujjain city of Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday.

The Mahakal Lok Corridor, more than 900 meters long, is spread around the old Rudra Sagar Lake.

This corridor, being built at a cost of Rs 856 crore, is expected to boost tourism in the pilgrimage city of Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.

State Home Minister Narottam Mishra told that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate this grand corridor on Tuesday, October 11.

An Indian Air Force aircraft carrying the Prime Minister will leave from Ahmedabad airport at 3.35 pm on Tuesday and will reach Indore airport at 4.30 pm.

PM will reach Mahakaleshwar temple at 5:25 pm.

Between 6.25 pm and 7.05 pm, Mahakal Lok will be dedicated to the nation.

Before this, he will offer prayers at the Mahakal temple.

After this, Modi will take part in a public function at Karthik Mela Ground, an official said.

The corridor is four times bigger than Kashi.


As you enter the corridor, you will see two majestic entrances – Nandi Gate and Pinaki Gate.

Here you will find a majestic pillar of 108 ornate pillars, fountains and a series of more than 50 frescoes depicting stories from the Shiva Puranas, intricately carved out of sandstone.

After the construction of this corridor of Ujjain, one of the biggest pilgrimage sites of Madhya Pradesh, the Mahakal temple complex has become ten times bigger.

Earlier it was spread in only 2 hectares but now it has spread in 20 hectares.

In the first phase, Mahakal Lok has been developed for Rs 316 crore.

Let us tell you that the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor of Uttar Pradesh is built in 5 acres, that is, the Mahakal Corridor is 4 times bigger than that.

There are many features of this corridor, in which about 200 sculptures and frescoes related to religious beliefs are decorated as decoration.

The country's first night garden has also been built in this corridor, equipped with many grand and huge statues.

the devotees of Mahakal will be able to know about the stories/fables related to Lord Shiva.

Apart from this, statues of Tripurasur slaughter, idol of Lord Shiva in lotus pool, Shiva Tandava, Sapta Rishi, various parts of Navagraha Mandal and idols of Nandi will be seen here.

Musical fountain and water screen show will be organized on the waves of Rudra Sagar pond, in which you will get to see movies related to Mahakal and Simhastha in the waves of water.

24 buildings have also been built in the Mahakal corridor, in which all kinds of facilities are available.

Here, according to the day and night, special color changing lights have been installed.


Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited Mahakal Lok on Sunday and reviewed the preparations for the event.

Chouhan said that after visiting the Mahakaleshwar temple and 'Mahakal Lok', the mystic and wonderful complex would make a permanent place in the hearts of the people.
