The decision of the Delhi High Court has been challenged.

New Delhi:

The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on the petition of Delhi government minister Satyendar Jain.

Now the matter will be heard on 31 October.

In fact, Satyendar Jain has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the transfer of the money laundering case to another judge and has challenged the decision of the Delhi High Court.

The Delhi High Court had dismissed that petition of Satyendar Jain on 1 October.

In which he challenged the order of the lower court to transfer the money laundering case against him to another court.

The bench had said that the question was not the integrity of the judge from whom the case was transferred, but the apprehension in the mind of the opposite party (Enforcement Directorate).

The bench said that the facts show that the ED has not only maintained the apprehension of bias, so it cannot be said that its apprehension is weak or justified.

During the hearing in the High Court on September 28, Jain had told the court that the ED is ruling the country and in such a situation, the judiciary has to stand to protect a judge.

The ED's demand to transfer Jain's bail plea, including other proceedings, to another court was accepted by the sessions judge.

Principal District and Sessions Judge Vinay Kumar Gupta transferred Jain's case from the court of Special Judge Geetanjali Goel to the court of Special Judge Vikas Dhul.
