British Prime Minister Liz Truss believes that an emergency summit of NATO member countries should be convened in the coming days after Russia's massive missile attacks on Ukraine.

Truss will make the proposal on Tuesday at an online meeting of the leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) nations. 

The Prime Minister added that

 the G7 meeting, which will also be joined online by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, is another opportunity to confirm the unity of the allies against the invasion of the Russian Federation.

"International support for Ukraine's struggle stands in stark contrast to Russia's isolation on the international stage. No one wants peace more than Ukraine. And for our part, we must not waver even one iota in our determination to help them achieve it," Truss said in excerpts from his speech. which she is to deliver at the summit 

G7.

It is expected that the prime minister will call on the leaders of the "seven" countries to continue the sanctions policy against Russia.

G7 leaders are also likely to discuss the global energy crisis caused by Russia's incursion, amid plans to impose price caps on Russian oil.

Zelensky expects support from London

Earlier, during a conversation with Liz Truss, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that he was counting on Great Britain's leadership in the matter of closing Ukrainian skies.

"I spoke with the Prime Minister of Great Britain Liz Truss. We count on Great Britain's leadership in strengthening international political and defense support for Ukraine, in particular regarding the protection of our skies," Zelenskyi said in Telegram.

The Russian Federation launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine

The USA and Germany will provide modern air defense systems

The White House confirmed the provision of modern air defense systems to Ukraine.

This became known as a result of the conversation between the presidents of the USA and Ukraine.

Biden did not specify which air defense systems are in question.

Germany intends to hand over the first IRIS-T air defense system to Ukraine in the coming days.

Note that the IRIS-T SLM system has a range of 40 kilometers and an altitude of up to 20 kilometers.

With the help of IRIS-T SLM, it is possible to shoot down combat aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, jet artillery, drones, anti-radar missiles.
