The armed forces of Ukraine liberated 1,170 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory in the

Kherson

region.   

Nataliya Gumenyuk, the spokeswoman of the joint coordination press center of OK "South", announced this on the air of the telethon.

"Since the beginning of active actions, more than 1,170 kilometers in the Kherson direction have been freed. Work continues both on the consolidation of territories and on cleaning, since the settlements we enter have many surprises left behind by the occupiers," she said.

However, Humenyuk once again reminded that

there is no need to rush back to the liberated villages

, as the occupiers mined buildings, roads and fields during the retreat.

"It is necessary to be cautious and not rush to return to the liberated territories, to give an opportunity to specialists to carry out stabilization measures so that the return is safe," Humenyuk stressed.
