The interrogation of Jaskaran Singh, a drug smuggler who was arrested by Punjab Counter Intelligence in Punjab's Goindwal Jail on Saturday, has revealed that he used to talk to Pakistan directly through WhatsApp calls using a phone in jail for a long time.

In Pakistan, Jaskaran was dealing with destruction in India with this special piece of ISI and this process was continuing unabated.

Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said that so far a total of five members of this module have been arrested. The arrested persons have been identified as Surinder Singh, resident of village Barwala district Tarn Taran, Harchand Singh and Gursahib Singh both residents of Waltoha district. As Amritsar.

Police have recovered cash worth Rs 1.01 crore, 500 grams of heroin, 400 live cartridges including 17 pistols, 300 live cartridges including an MP4 rifle, two weighing machines and two note counting machines from their possession.

Earlier on Wednesday, the police team of Counter Intelligence Amritsar arrested two members of this module, in which one prisoner was identified as Jaskaran Singh and his accomplice Ratanbir Singh.

A total of 10 foreign pistols were recovered from the bases mentioned by them and now the total number of pistols recovered has reached 27. 

DGP Gaurav Yadav told that during the investigation it has come to the fore from Jaskaran Singh and Ratanbir Singh that their colleague Surinder had caught a consignment of arms/ammunition from Pakistan with the help of drones.

Taking action based on this information, police arrested Surinder on Friday and recovered six magazines and 100 live cartridges along with 10 pistols from his possession. 

He told that after investigation, it has been found that Surinder used to pick up the consignment from Ratanbir on the instructions of Jaskaran Singh and deliver it to two brothers Harchand and Gursahib.

After this the police have arrested both of them too.

Police have also recovered 7 pistols, one MP-4 rifle and 500 grams of heroin, cash, weighing machines and currency counting machines worth Rs 1.01 crore from their possession.
