Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the President's Office, does not confirm that the war will end before Christmas, as some Western media write, but he is confident in the "most optimistic forecast."

He said this on the air of the "FREEDOM" channel.

"I'm not a fan of being tied to dates. I'm a fan of this fantastic work of the country's leadership - and the Supreme Commander and his staff, and the General Staff, and the military itself, which is very effective, in the minority, with less equipment, kilometer by kilometer we are vacating our territories," says Podolyak.

He emphasized that internal conflicts in the Russian Federation accelerate the de-occupation of captured territories.

"Look at what is being done in the occupied Crimea: people are hysterically running to the shops and buying groceries, standing in long lines at gas stations. They understand that when (the main collaborator in Crimea. - Ed.) Aksyonov says "we are doing well", it means that in a day or two nothing will happen. Destroying trust in the Russian Federation (in the residents of the occupied territories. - Ed.) will help us speed up the de-occupation. That's why I, unlike other people, am optimistic," the adviser to the head of the OP states.

Podolyak is sure that Ukraine will end this war sooner than many people think.

Counteroffensive of the Armed Forces

Earlier, The Times, citing sources in the British government and military experts, wrote that the Armed Forces will push the invaders back to the borders on February 23 before Christmas.

As of October 7, the Armed Forces managed to liberate more than 2,400 square kilometers of the territory of Ukraine in the south.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are advancing confidently in two directions at once:

in Kherson region and in Luhansk region.

Kherson region

According to the adviser of the OP Oleksiy Arestovych, the Armed Forces of Ukraine approached Kherson at a distance of 30 kilometers.

After liberating the village of Davidiv Brid in the Kherson region from the occupiers, the ZSU gained a very important bridgehead for a further counteroffensive in the south.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ukrainian defenders have already liberated more than 50 settlements in the Kherson region.

Luhansk Region

The beginning of the de-occupation of Luhansk Oblast was officially announced on October 5.

Serhii Gaidai, the head of the Luhansk OVA, reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already raised Ukrainian flags in some settlements of the region.

Their names have not yet been disclosed, so that the Armed Forces can safely establish themselves there.

In the Luhansk region, Ukrainian troops are advancing in the direction of Kreminnaya and Svatovo.

In particular, the city of Kreminna in the Luhansk region is a very good springboard for the development of the Ukrainian counteroffensive and the liberation of the entire territory of the region.

TSN.ua collected everything that is known about the situation in Luhansk region.
