Mykhailo Podolyak

, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine

, said that the infighting and the struggle for power in the Russian Federation indicate that the aggressor country will not use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

He stated this on the air of the national telethon.

"You won't have a mad, fierce struggle for power if tomorrow you want to use that power to kill yourself. Because even the thought of pressing the red button means that you are a suicide bomber, that you are ready to end your existence here and now. Motivation does not correspond to what you want to get. If you so madly want to become the minister of defense, the president of the new Russia, then you will definitely not go down the path of self-destruction," he said.

According to him, this indicates that the nuclear threat as such is gradually decreasing.

"It seems to me that these signs of an internal conflict between the security forces show that in Russia they do not want to die and everyone understands that it is better to fight here and let someone there lose the war, but we will get stronger during this time, take power here, somehow survive this period turmoil, and then we will control part of the territory. This is what their motivations are. And this indicates that the nuclear threat as such is gradually decreasing. That is, all this rhetoric is exclusively propaganda," Podolyak added.

Nuclear threats and blackmail of Russia

The Kremlin is constantly blackmailing Ukraine and the whole world with its nuclear weapons.

The situation with Russian nuclear weapons is monitored by the USA, NATO and other Ukrainian allies.

So far, the Pentagon reports that the US has yet to see any signs that Vladimir Putin has decided on a nuclear strike.

In turn, US President Joe Biden said that the world is the closest to a nuclear disaster in the last 60 years.

He emphasized that the use of nuclear weapons would lead to Armageddon.

The Pentagon has already

commented on

 this statement.

Russian political scientist and publicist Andriy Piontkovskyi

named three reasons

and explained why the Kremlin dictator would not dare to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine.
